A financial power of attorney lets a person you choose act within the authority stated in the document during your lifetime.
The document can grant broad or limited authority for banking, bills, taxes, investments, real estate, or a specific transaction. A durable power of attorney can continue during incapacity. The agent must act within the document and applicable law; the document does not guarantee that every institution will accept it or that every risk is eliminated.

Types of Power of Attorney we draft

Limited Financial Power of Attorney. Grants authority for specific tasks or transactions, like a real estate closing or a single decision.
Note on Oregon law: Oregon does not use a separate Healthcare Power of Attorney. For medical and end-of-life decisions, including guidance on life-support preferences, Oregon uses the Advance Directive. We do not offer Springing Powers of Attorney.
